Well-established media company, focused on the group tour/travel industry is seeking a full-time Media Consultant to manage, and build on, an established territory. The candidate should have a solid understanding of how to package and promote both print and digital media within a niche market/industry. Company offers a fast-paced work environment with competitive compensation and benefits that include health insurance, vacation time, 401k, and reasonable flex-time.
Manage relationships with future/current clients within a regional territory.
Manage territory database. Attention to detail is a must.
Manage 100-150 contacts weekly.
Attend and engage in face-to-face and virtual meetings with the Sales Director, company management, and team conference calls.
Achieve all company assigned revenue goals/expectations.
Travel required to regional trade shows; plus possible sales trips. Potentially five week-long trips per year.
Desired Skills & Experience
Bachelors degree, with two years sales or group travel industry experience
Ability to process industry information and effectively communicate with potential prospects, team members, and industry professionals
Ability to calculate rates, discounts, and percentages
High level of professionalism and ability to work well with others
Ability to work independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, able to adapt and work in a deadline-driven environment
