The President & CEO of VISIT PHILADELPHIA oversees a 501(c)(3) tourism marketing organization with a budget that ranges from $12 to $15 million and 56 employees. The CEO will provide strategic and managerial leadership to VISIT PHILADELPHIA and ensure that the strategic direction is consistent with its mission, values, and priorities. Working collaboratively with the Board and the VISIT PHILADELPHIA staff, the CEO provides the intellectual, organizational, managerial, and civic leadership to realize the vision of the organization. The new CEO needs to bring a deep knowledge of marketing, demographics, tourism, events, fundraising, and brand positioning; he/she will serve as a cheerleader who understands both the bones of the region and cement Philadelphia’s place as a magnet for those seeking the elusive mix of history and dynamism.
Experienced marketing executive with strong managerial, operational, and business acumen, and interpersonal skills. Someone who understands and has experience driving retail leisure destination travel.
