The Board of Directors of the Tourism Council of Frederick County, Inc. DBA Visit Frederick has announced that longtime Executive Director John Fieseler will be retiring. The council is seeking to hire their next long-term, dynamic Executive to keep Frederick County as one of Maryland’s premier places to visit. As Executive Director you will facilitate strategic planning efforts to maintain and increase the organization’s focus on promoting Frederick County as an overnight destination. You will provide leadership and focus to an established team of tourism professionals to ensure that the mission of increasing visitor growth within the county continues to flourish. The Executive Director will be the recognized face of the organization and engage the community through networking and promotional activities. The Executive Director is responsible for developing and enforcing the annual budget by maintaining tax revenue resources and additional funding streams. You will be accountable for maintaining and developing new partnerships with local businesses, government entities and key community stakeholders. The Executive Director also plays an active role in all marketing and government outreach at the State and local level.
