The Vice President of Research, Strategy & Revenue Management will manage the procurement, interpretation, and utilization of data at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau (Visit Lauderdale).
This position will establish data needs and gather data through vendor procurements. The data will be necessary to show previous hospitality and agency performance, as well as forecast future performance for use by partners and in agency decision making.
This position is responsible for recommending and monitoring a transparent, annual pricing strategy with Visit Lauderdale and ASM Global (operator of the Broward County Convention Center) as it relates to optimizing revenue generated by the Convention Center. This includes focusing on supply, demand, and revenue both at hotels impacted by convention center events and revenue generated through space rentals and other sources at the Convention Center itself. Referring to historical booking data and the above, this position will also assist in making booking decisions and prioritizing business.
This position is responsible for continuing development and monitoring of the Group and Tourism Sponsorship programs. Focusing on ROI in the form of partner hotel supply, demand, and revenue, this position will ensure proposed incentive sponsorships achieve the goals of increasing occupancy during need dates and increasing revenues at all times.
This position is responsible for creating and maintaining an effective communication plan with hospitality, in particular hotel partners, in Broward County. This includes establishing and maintaining data used by hospitality partners on a dashboard platform, and consistently reporting to hotel partners on sales revenue growth, progress, strategy and tactics in the form of regular group meetings and one-on-ones, including providing targeted assistance during hotel budgeting season. The successful candidate will have public speaking skills and a passion for gathering meaningful data.
This position is responsible for providing data and analysis-related talking points to internal and external customers.
Oversees and manages all aspects of convention, group and/or leisure sales efforts, including personnel, initiatives, and marketing efforts in one of the following areas: marketing/communications, tourism sales, multicultural tourism, sports development, LGBT tourism, or film/music/entertainment. Works under administrative supervision, developing and implementing programs within organizational policies and reports major activities to executive level administrators through conferences and reports.

Certification as a Certified Hotel Industry Analyst (CHIA) Certification as a Certified Revenue Management Executive and/or Certified Revenue Management Analyst (HSMAI) Certification from n accredited school or association in statistics or data analysis 2+ years CRM experience 2+ years experience with Google Data Studio (Looker) or other comparable statistics dashboard software
Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, marketing, hotel, restaurant and tourism or closely related field.
Requires six (6) years in hotel/tourism marketing or closely related experience.
