Sports ETA has retained SearchWide Global to find an authentic, accountable, and inclusive leader to serve as the new President & CEO. As the only non-profit 501(c)3 trade association for the sports events and tourism industry in the United States, Sports ETA is the most essential resource for sports commissions, sports destinations, sports event owners, and industry partners. We believe sports tourism and the events that our members own and host have the power to transform society for the better. Our passion is to help sports events and tourism professionals achieve previously unimaginable levels of performance. We do this by nurturing a diverse and inclusive community of smart, creative, and interesting people: our members.

The President & CEO leads all operations, activities, and management of the organization and is the driver of strategic initiatives established by the Board of Directors. The Sports ETA national office is located in West Chester, Ohio (a northeast suburb of Cincinnati) and will lead a team (mostly remote) of three full-time employees and several independent contractors and ensures proper fiscal and operational management. The President & CEO is responsible to the Board of Directors and reports to its Chairman, who leads the 19- member volunteer group that is elected or appointed to the Board according to the Sports ETA Bylaws. Additionally, the President & CEO is responsive to volunteer committees and/or work groups within the Sports ETA model.
